Creating a New Project
|1.||From the Main Menu, click Setup and from the submenu, click Projects. The Projects Setup Director page opens.|
|2.||From the Projects and Project-related Data section, click the Project Management link. The List of Projects page opens.|
|3.||Click the Add New Project button. The Project Details page opens to the Edit Details tab to all entry of information about the project.|
Note: Required data fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).
Note: Specific permission is required to create new projects in LATISTA.
|4.||Enter a name and abbreviated name in the Project Name and Project Abbreviation data fields.|
|5.||From the Status drop-down list, select Active.|
|6.||From the Area Groups separation drop-down list, select the number of levels you want to use to present issues.|
|7.||Click the For Project radio buttons for either or both Issue number start or Inspection number start to specify that the numbers assigned to issues and inspections are to be numbered sequentially for all issues or inspections created for the project. Click the For each Area radio buttons for either or both Issue number start or Inspection number start to specify that the numbers assigned to issues and inspections are to be numbered |
NOTE: When inspections and issues are created on two field devices identical numbers for inspections and issues can be generated on each field device. However, when the field devices are synchronized with the server, the inspection and issue numbers will be regenerated so that numbers are not duplicated.
|8.||From the Project belongs to drop-down list, select the enterprise component to which the project belongs.|
|9.||In the Project Statuses section, click the Application-wide radio button(s) if you want to use the Application-Wide issue categories for this module or click the Project-specific radio button(s) if you want to setup Project-specific issue categories for this module. Note that if you select the Project-specific radio button that the choice cannot be reverted to Application-wide.|
|10.||If the project data is being imported from a legacy system, in the External Systems section, enter the name of the system in the External System data field, the type of system in the External Object data field, and the identifier for the system in the Legacy project id data field.|
Note: The Legacy Project Id is an optional field that allows integration with 3rd party applications to SYNC between LATISTA Projects and 3rd party application projects. It is populated by integration engine automatically. ; This field can also be used to reference a project when area types are imported from an Excel spreadsheet.
|10.||In the Synchronization Settings section, enter the limit on the size of files that can be uploaded to the server in the Limit the maximum file size to be uploaded on mobile client data field and click the Availability on iPad checkbox to make the project available on iPad field devices.|
|11.||Enter the name and contact information for the individual who should be contacted regarding the project in the Contact Information section.|
|12.||Enter the address information for the project in the Address section.|
|13.||The Work Order Template data field is used by the Implementation Team to upload a work order template if the default template is not to be used.|
|14.||To use a project-specific logo for project reports instead of the default logo defined, click the Browse button in the Project Logo section, navigate to the location of the file, click the Open button. The file location and name displays.|
|15.||In the Work Orders CC Emails section, enter email address(es) separated by semicolons to which a copy of all work orders will be sent.|
|16.||To specify that markups are to be scaled to the document or markup size, from the Markup Size drop-down list, select the appropriate option, and click the Calendar icons for the Start on and Finish by data fields to select dates during which the selection is in use.|
Tip: Scaling the markups to the document size, results in the smallest file sizes.
|17.||Click the Save Changes button. The application displays a message that the project was created.|
