Creating New Areas and Sub-areas Manually
Project Managers can create areas and sub-areas manually through the application.
To create an area manually:
|1.||From the Area Management page, enter the name for the area in the Area Name or ID data field.|
|2.||In the Add New Area section, from the Parent Area drop-down list, select the area or sub-area under which you want to add an area. Select root to add an area and select an existing area to add a sub-area.|
Note: Areas assigned an area type do not display in the Parent Area drop-down list because locations can be defined for each area type and converted to sub-areas.
|3.||From the Area Type drop-down list, select an area type to assign to the area if appropriate.|
|4.||Click the Add New Area button. The area displays on the Area Types List page.|
