Editing Issue Categories

Issue Categories and Statuses can be edited after creation. New Statuses can be added to an Issue Category. Actions can also be added from Statuses.

To add an Issue Status to an existing Category:

1.From the Issue Category / Statuses page, from the Module drop-down list, select the module for which you want to edit an Issue Status.
2.To edit a Category, click the Category Name you want to edit. The Category Details page opens.
3.Update the Category label or abbreviation in the Category and Abbreviation data fields as appropriate.
4.Define how you want this Issue Category applied to inspection templates. None will disable this category on all inspection templates, Selectively will allow you to select if this category should be enabled on each  inspection template as they are  setup and All will enable this category on all inspection templates.
5.To add a new Issue Status, click the Add New Status button. The Status Details page opens.
6.Enter a label for the status in the Status Name data field.
7.Enter the label for the button for the action that can executed for the status in the Action Named data field.
8.Click the Open radio button for the State data field to indicate that the Issue Status specifies that the issue remains unresolved or click the Closed radio button to indicate that the Issue Status specifies that the issue is resolved.
9.Click the Yes radio button for the Enable Date Override data field to allow users to override the status change date and not apply status changes due.
10. Click the Save Changes button. The Status Actions section displays to allow you to assign the subsequent action.
11.In the Status Actions section, from the Next status drop-down list, select the Issue Status that will result when the defined Action is executed.
12.Click the Save Changes button to save the status and actions and click the Back to Category button to open the Category Details page that displays the new Category and Issue Status.
