Managing Field Devices
Each tablet is assigned a unique host number during the first (initial) SYNC. The total number of available host numbers is equal to number of device licenses purchased for the application. If a field device is lost or needs to be removed from the application, the System Administrator can release the existing device’s host number so it is available for another device assignment.
To view field devices assigned:
|1.||From the Main Menu click Setup and from the submenu, click Application. The Application Setup Directory page opens.|
|2.||In the Security Settings section, click the Control and Release Tablets link. The Tablets Management page opens and displays assigned field devices.|
|3.||To identify the user assigned to a specific field device, click the Expand icon for Search and enter the field device identifying number, and click the Search button.|
